FixBuff Terms of Service
To use the services provided by FixBuff, you must read and comply with these FixBuff Terms of Service (the "Terms"). These Terms apply to the FixBuff Windows application, fixbuff.com, account services, diagnostic and repair tools, paid membership features, customer support, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
Please read these Terms carefully and ensure you fully understand them, especially the provisions concerning subscriptions and automatic renewal, refunds, system changes, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and your rights and obligations. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right that cannot be lawfully limited in your country or state.
By clicking an acceptance control, creating or accessing an account, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using the Services after these Terms are presented to you, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms if local law permits your use of the Services. Paid plans are intended for adults or users with valid parental authorization.
1. Who We Are and Scope
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Junyun Limited, with registered address at 19H MAXGRAND PLAZA, NO. 3 TAI YAU STREET, SAN PO KONG, KOWLOON, HONG KONG ("FixBuff," "we," "us," or "our").
These Terms govern your access to and use of the FixBuff Windows application, fixbuff.com and its localized versions, account services, diagnostic and repair tools, game‑specific utilities, customer support, updates, and paid membership features (collectively, the "Services"). The FixBuff Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data, is incorporated by reference into these Terms to the fullest extent permitted by law.
2. Acceptance, Eligibility, and Consumer Rights
You accept these Terms when you click an acceptance control, create or access an account, purchase a plan, or otherwise use the Services after the Terms have been presented to you. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase a paid plan. If local law allows a minor to use the Services, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms and is responsible for the minor's use. The Services are not directed to children under 16. We reserve the right to request age verification or parental consent documentation where required by applicable law.
3. The FixBuff Service and Important Repair Notice
FixBuff is a diagnostic and repair tool for common Windows and PC game runtime issues, including supported runtime libraries, DirectX components, DLL issues, system environment settings, and game-specific problems. Available features and supported games may vary by version, device, language, region, and plan.
FixBuff can detect and attempt to repair only supported and known issues. Problems caused by hardware failure, operating-system defects, third-party software conflicts, malware, security software, game publisher services, network outages, unsupported configurations, or other causes may not be detected or repaired.
Repair actions may download or replace files, install or repair components, change supported registry or system settings, stop or restart processes, or require a restart. Prior to approving any repair, you should review the on-screen description, close important applications, save your work, maintain a current backup, and ensure you have administrative privileges on the device.
You purchase access to diagnostic and repair capabilities, not a guarantee that a specific issue will be solved or that a game will run at a particular performance level. We will exercise reasonable care and skill where required by law, but results depend on your device and third-party environment.
4. Accounts and Third-Party Sign-In
FixBuff currently supports authorization through Google, Discord, and VK. We do not ask for or store your password for those providers. Your relationship with each provider is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy.
You must provide accurate information, keep your third-party account and device secure, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our breach of duty or otherwise provided by law.
A FixBuff account may maintain an active signed-in session on only one device at any given time. A later sign-in may end the earlier device session. The earlier device may continue to access guest features but must sign in again for account or paid actions.
Account linking, provider identity resolution, and duplicate-account handling are performed by our account services. Do not sell, rent, share, transfer, or commercially exploit your account or paid entitlements.
5. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the applicable FixBuff client on a supported device for your personal, non-commercial use during the period in which you are entitled to the relevant features.
The Services are licensed, not sold. Except where applicable law expressly permits, you must not copy, distribute, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass technical protections, extract proprietary repair rules, use automated means to abuse the Services, or use FixBuff to infringe rights or violate law.
6. Guest Features, Registered Accounts, and PRO
Some detection, browsing, repair, optimization, and game-tool features may be available without an account. Account-only actions include support requests, redemption codes, membership management, and paid-feature access.
Upon completing registration, you become a FixBuff Member. You may subscribe to specific features for a fee, and your account will be upgraded to PRO, unlocking corresponding advanced benefits. For specific features, usage limits, supported content, and subscription validity, please refer to the information displayed in the client or purchase flow at the time of use or purchase.
We may add, remove, or adjust features to improve security, compatibility, or the Services. For paid features, material adverse changes will be notified and handled in accordance with applicable law. We may, where permitted, offer alternative features, pro-rata adjustments, or other remedies as required by law.
7. Plans, Prices, and Taxes
FixBuff may offer quarterly, six-month, annual, lifetime, promotional, or other plans. The purchase screen will identify whether a plan is a recurring subscription or a one-time purchase, the initial price, renewal price, billing frequency, currency, taxes where known, discount duration, and next renewal date.
"Lifetime" or "Permanent access" means access for the commercial operating lifespan of the FixBuff product, not the lifetime of a person, device, company, or any third-party service. If we permanently discontinue a paid lifetime service, we will provide at least 60 days' advance notice where practicable and any refund, pro-rata adjustment, replacement, continued-access arrangement, or other remedy as required by applicable law.
Prices and plan availability may vary by country, currency, channel, and promotion. Price changes do not retroactively affect a completed one-time purchase. Changes to an existing subscription will be communicated before they take effect as required by law.
8. Payments and Stripe
Payments are processed through Stripe and payment methods made available by Stripe in your country. Stripe and participating banks or payment-method providers may collect payment credentials and fraud-prevention signals under their own terms and privacy notices. FixBuff does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
You authorize the disclosed charge when you confirm a purchase. You are responsible for applicable taxes, bank charges, foreign-exchange charges, or payment-provider fees unless the purchase screen states that they are included.
If payment fails, is reversed, disputed, refunded, or reasonably suspected to be fraudulent, we may delay, suspend, or revoke the corresponding entitlement after notice where required. We may correct billing errors and will cooperate reasonably to investigate disputed charges.
9. Automatic Renewal and Cancellation
Recurring plans renew automatically for the period and at the price disclosed in the purchase flow unless you cancel before the renewal is processed. The checkout will request your affirmative consent to automatic renewal and will provide a durable confirmation of the subscription terms where required.
You can cancel an active subscription through Member Center > The order > Cancel subscription, or through another online method identified in your confirmation. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically end access during the already-paid billing period. We will not reactivate automatic renewal without your express consent.
Before renewal, we will provide consumers with periodic reminders of their active subscription, including the billing frequency, the amount to be charged, and instructions on how to cancel, in accordance with applicable law. For subscriptions with an initial term of one year or longer that automatically renew, we will provide a renewal reminder within a reasonable period before the renewal date, as required by applicable law.
We do not allow two active subscriptions for the same plan. If you purchase a different subscription while another entitlement remains active, the new plan may be scheduled to begin after the current paid period. If you purchase lifetime access while a subscription is active, the lifetime entitlement will take effect and future renewal of the prior subscription will be stopped. If you attempt to purchase a subscription for the same plan while an existing active subscription is in effect, we may, at our sole discretion, reject the purchase or treat it as a renewal of the existing subscription.
10. Refunds, Withdrawal, and Billing Disputes
10.1 First-Purchase Refund Period
FixBuff offers a fifteen (15)-day refund period for the first qualifying purchase made by a user. A refund request must be submitted within fifteen (15) days after successful payment and before the applicable entitlement expires.
A qualifying first purchase may include the initial payment for a subscription plan or the first purchase of a Lifetime or Permanent plan, unless otherwise clearly disclosed before purchase.
10.2 One Refund per User
The voluntary first-purchase refund is generally available only once per user. We may consider information reasonably associated with the same user, including accounts, devices, payment methods, and transaction history, to prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or abusive refund requests.
10.3 Renewals and Subscription Cancellation
The fifteen (15)-day first-purchase refund period does not apply to subsequent automatic-renewal payments.
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewal charges but does not normally refund fees already paid for the current billing period. You may continue using the paid features until the end of that billing period unless otherwise stated in the purchase flow.
10.4 Exclusions
Our voluntary refund policy does not apply to fraudulent or abusive activity, repeated refund requests, unauthorised resale or account sharing, material violations of these Terms, or purchases expressly identified as ineligible for a voluntary refund before checkout.
A refund may also be denied where a user has redeemed or consumed a non-recoverable third-party benefit, promotional code, gift, or partner entitlement, provided that this limitation was clearly disclosed before redemption or purchase.
10.5 Service Results
A repair result that does not meet your personal expectations does not, by itself, establish that the Service is defective. FixBuff provides access to diagnostic and repair capabilities and does not guarantee that every issue will be detected or resolved.
This provision does not limit remedies available where paid access was not delivered, an incorrect or duplicate charge occurred, the Service materially failed to conform to its description, or applicable law requires a refund or other remedy.
10.6 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or report a billing error, contact support@fixbuff.com within the applicable refund period and provide your FixBuff account information, order number, purchase date, purchased plan, and relevant details.
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method. We ordinarily initiate approved refunds within five (5) to ten (10) business days, although the time required for the funds to appear may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
10.7 Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Section limits any refund, withdrawal, cancellation, repair, replacement, or other consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
11. Updates and System Requirements
The Services may install or offer updates for security, compatibility, repair rules, content, and features. Some updates may be required for continued use. You may manage optional update or startup settings where available, but essential security or service changes may be required.
You are responsible for a compatible, lawfully licensed Windows environment, adequate storage and network access, and third-party software or game licenses. FixBuff is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft, game publishers, Google, Discord, VK, or Stripe unless expressly stated.
12. User Content and Support Materials
When you submit a support request, feedback, screenshot, or diagnostic log, you retain ownership of your content and grant us a limited worldwide license to host, copy, analyze, and use it only as needed to provide support, secure and improve the Services, and comply with law.
Do not submit content you lack authority to share, malware, illegal material, third-party secrets, or unnecessary sensitive information. We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or creates a security or legal risk.
13. Intellectual Property
FixBuff, its software, repair rules, interfaces, documentation, logos, and other content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual‑property law. No right is granted except the limited license in Section 5. Third‑party names and marks belong to their owners.
If you provide suggestions, we may use them without restriction or payment, but this does not grant us ownership of personal data or confidential material included in a support request.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, payment reversal, security risk, unlawful conduct, material breach, abuse of accounts or systems, or legal requirements. Where appropriate and lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy.
You may stop using FixBuff at any time and request account deletion by emailing support@fixbuff.com. Deleting the application does not automatically cancel a subscription. Cancel renewal separately before deleting your account or application.
If we permanently discontinue a paid Service, we will provide advance notice where practicable and any refund, replacement, continued‑access arrangement, or other remedy required by law.
15. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device or game, detection of every issue, or a particular repair, performance, or commercial result.
Nothing in this Section excludes or limits any warranties, guarantees, or duties that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees that digital content will be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and conform to description, and that services will be performed with reasonable care and skill.
16. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, willful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, breach of mandatory consumer rights, or any other liability that law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Subject to the previous paragraph and to the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss, or loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data, that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
For liability that may lawfully be capped, our aggregate liability arising from paid Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the affected Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (converted into USD at the exchange rate on the date of the event, if necessary), or (b) USD 100. This cap does not apply: (i) where prohibited by applicable law; (ii) to liability for death or personal injury; (iii) to liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (iv) to breach of any implied term as to title; or (v) to any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory consumer protection legislation.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules. The courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will have jurisdiction, except that consumers retain the right to bring claims in the courts of their country or state of residence under applicable mandatory law, and nothing in this Section prevents consumers from exercising their statutory rights in their local jurisdiction. Nothing in this sentence shall affect the choice of Hong Kong law as the governing law for the interpretation and enforcement of these Terms, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
Before filing a formal claim, please contact support@fixbuff.com with a description of the issue and requested resolution. This informal process does not suspend statutory limitation periods or prevent urgent relief.
If applicable law provides an official consumer dispute‑resolution or online dispute platform, we will provide the legally required information in the localized Terms or checkout flow. We will participate in applicable out‑of‑court dispute resolution mechanisms where required by law.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms for legal, security, product, or operational reasons. We will post the updated version and revise the date above. For material changes affecting an active paid plan, we will provide advance notice and cancellation or other choices where required by law.
Material changes include, without limitation, changes to: (a) pricing or billing frequency; (b) automatic renewal terms; (c) cancellation or refund policies; (d) data processing purposes; and (e) limitations of liability.
Changes do not apply retroactively unless required by law or expressly accepted by you. Continuing to use the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
19. General Terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable law and notice obligations.
The English version controls to the extent permitted by law. Localized versions may control where required by local law. Headings are for convenience only.
20. Data Protection and Cross‑Border Transfers
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Where we transfer personal data from jurisdictions with data protection laws to other countries, we will implement such safeguards as we determine are appropriate and legally sufficient, including but not limited to standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms.
21. Geographic Availability
The Services are intended solely for use in jurisdictions where FixBuff expressly makes them available. We make no representation that the Services are appropriate, lawful, or accessible in all geographic locations. Any user who accesses or uses the Services from a jurisdiction where FixBuff is not authorized does so entirely at their own risk and bears sole responsibility for complying with all applicable local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements. If the Services are prohibited under the laws of your jurisdiction, you must not access or use them.
